Off the coast of South Africa lurks the biggest predatory fish in the world: the Great White Shark. In this rare interaction, we see young Great White Sharks get up close and personal with our camera.

The Great White Shark is known in fictional accounts such as the novel-turned-blockbuster film Jaws to be a horrifyingly ferocious “man-eater”. In truth, this shark prefers to avoid humans.

However, the Great White Shark is by far responsible for more unprovoked fatal attacks on humans than any other shark species.

The Great White is very curious and will often explore with a test bite. This is one explanation for the high number of non-fatal attacks on people.
